About Us

Charlene Bruggeman

In 2011, Charlene Bruggeman noticed a student was wearing shorts in freezing weather and then found out that it was because he owned no pants to wear.  It was placed upon her heart that she could do something about it, and she felt led to “do” something about it.  The Master's Closet clothing outreach was formed.

The clothing outreach was set up and torn down in one day, once a quarter, in one room at the Huber Heights Church of God for two years.

In 2003, due to the growing need in our community, the outreach was established inside Studebaker School (Rear Door #22) in an effort to serve students whose families may have difficulty with purchasing school clothing.  The Master’s Closet Rooms & The Locker (Middle School & Teen Room) are open twice a month and service an average of 175 people in 2 days.  That is approximately 1500 articles of clothing!

What will you find inside Door #22 at Studebaker School?   Four once unsed classroons that have been converted to three clothing stores and one sorting room, A hall filled with beautiful red lockers that once help student backpacks and books and now hold sized clothing to refill the racks in the stores.

We are blessed to serve our community in this capacity and it is our prayer to be able to expand this ministry in the future.
